7 Days of Real Closet Styling by an LA-based Director
muller of yoshiokubo director Uchida has sent us her style diary!
LA is known for its year-round mild climate, where sophisticated urban vibes coexist with West Coast culture.
In this feature, we reveal her real-life styling choices, incorporating items she actually purchased for this season while living in this vibrant city.
Take a look at how she creates high-quality looks that blend seamlessly into daily life, going beyond just following trends.
Suede Jacket for a Relaxed City - Day 1
A styling look featuring a jacket made from soft sheepskin leather as the centerpiece.
The greatest appeal of the RADIANT SUEDE COAT is that, without shoulder pads, it can be worn with the ease of a shirt.
It is unbelievably soft for a leather piece, and rolling up the sleeves adds an even more laid-back feel.
Its design works for both casual and dressy looks, making it perfect for daily use.
A layered style paired with accessories in similar tones
On this day, drawing inspiration from the green sequins on the jacket, she added a touch of color with a scarf in a similar tone worn around the waist.
The use of accessories like fringe and clogs, which give off a slightly bohemian vibe, creates that signature LA sense of relaxation.
It is a look that is urban yet effortless, blending naturally into the LA cityscape.

This look balances comfort and elegance, perfect for a day of gallery hopping.
Adding a casual touch with shoes and accessories
She chose the GRASS PANTS for this day, skillfully mixing different items to enjoy a play on textures.
By adding casual footwear and accessories to a glamorous and structural jacket and pants, she achieves a balance that is easy to incorporate into everyday life.

Feminine Sweater Made Casual - Day 3
A feminine look featuring a lace-knit bodysuit sweater, softened with a monochrome palette.
Mixing materials in similar tones
While keeping the sweet atmosphere of the delicate lace knit, she added contrast by coordinating with brown-toned leather shearling vests and shoes.
By matching color tones while varying the texture of the materials, she creates a sophisticated, mature impression that isn't overly sweet.
Pairing mohair knit with unexpected joggers expands the versatility of the outfit.
