Since its release the other day, our Wrappin’ Bag w/ Wappen has been very well received. Here, we take you behind the scenes of the birth of this bag, created for casual, daily use.

Born at the market

 

Currently based in LA, muller of yoshiokubo director Uchida spends her weekends visiting the various markets held throughout the city.

It was there that her eyes were caught by an array of patches dating back to the 1960s. These items, likely deadstock from some forgotten store, were each full of character, with their own unique textures. The "Wrappin’ Bag w/ Wappen" we are introducing today came from thinking about where to use the patches she carefully selected on location, ultimately deciding to incorporate them into our popular Wrappin’ Bag.

Whether used as a daily commute bag, a secondary bag, for trips where you tend to have a lot of luggage, or as an organizer for your car trunk, the possibilities are endless. Made from water-resistant material, it is also great for the beach or other leisure activities.

Uchida uses this gusseted bag, which fits a variety of scenes, in her own daily life in LA. We hope you enjoy this collaborative item born from her unique perspective—a blend of "muller of yoshiokubo" and her love for vintage clothing.

About the design

 

We have balanced the placement of the patches on the mini and large sizes, which are the most versatile in the Wrappin’ Bag collection. While the design is eye-catching, it is placed on only one side, ensuring it remains timeless and easy to use.

For both mini and large sizes, you can choose from three designs (A through F).
We also offer three colors: white, khaki, and black.
(*Only mini A is available in two colors)
